Last week I was able to scratch something off of my bucket list and that was taking a trip to Australia! Perth, in Western Australia to be exact. Being able to see some of my favorite waterfowl species, as well as a couple of of species I had only seen in pictures (musk duck, Australian blue-billed duck), in the natural habitat was a lifetime highlight for me. While there, I was also able to visit and meet the fine folks at the Perth Zoo, where they are readily breeding green pygmy geese and Australian blue-billed ducks.
